I'm alive...

Just out of things to say...I don't know why. I was reading through old posts and such and I don't have many more words for you I don't think. I wonder sometimes, if we force the words onto the page does it sound forced? I mean, if you are talking to someone you can tell when they really have nothing else to talk about but on a blog? Is it the same thing? Can you feel the blah's creeping into my posts as I can? I am going to have to find more words for you before I can post much else.

Ciara has decided she wants to go back to public school next year and we might be sending Shyann as well, we haven't made up our minds. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself if we do.

1 year Anniversary...

Today is the day after my 1 year anniversary of blogging...*tear* I have really enjoyed doing this and can't imagine not having you people to share my life with...

Oh Gosh...

We got at least 10 inches of snow here yesterday and it's snowing again today!!! I really really don't like snow but I do have to say it is pretty...I'll get pictures today and load them up for you...

Back to school today even though Samuel is home for a snow day. Should be interesting to say the least!

Update on Water...

We did FINALLY get the water fixed Tuesday night...Kris is a wiz with that stuff...I'm still catching up on laundry and the basement is still damp...but not too bad and nothing was ruined thankfully. Well, nix that the only thing that MIGHT be ruined I didn't check on ;) LOL but where the water came down there isn't anything to destroy other than a dresser we had picked up and were going to sand down and refinish anyway...

Thanks for all the well wishes and worries...I'm even healthy now ;)

No Water...

So, we finally get feeling better Sunday afternoon/evening and I just start to think that the week will be a normal one. I get up with Samuel at 3:30am because he had fallen asleep before dinner Sunday night and was hungry. We went downstairs and I got him something to eat and we went to bed but before he was ready to sleep he needed to go potty...well, the toilet didn't refill...I knew the pipes were frozen, it was cold enough and we have this problem almost EVERY winter here. *sigh* So, I look at the clock and it's almost 4:30...I'll just let Kris sleep until his alarm goes off and then tell him that the pipes are frozen and he's not going to work anyway...He goes over to the front part of the house which has it's own furnace (it's being made into a duplex...when we built the addition we just put a second furnace in...) and the furnace is off. *sigh* We got that started up again with a small payment to the heating and cooling guy. Then we finally got the pipes unfrozen and realized that the water meter and a couple pipes were cracked. So off went the water again and a few hours were spent fixing this problem. We turned it back on and realized that it was frozen again in a different spot. So we got that thawed out and had water again. I was a nice wife and let my hard working hubby take a shower, mind you I've been sick all weekend and haven't taken one...ewww I know. Wake up this morning to Kris saying, "now I have to figure out why we don't have hot water..." then he tells me that the pipe that had frozen last night, which happens to be in our basement, has burst and that's the problem. AND he HAS to go to work today, he can't take another day off but he'll fix it when he gets home. *more sighing* Ok. So that's my story and it ends with me logging out now and heading over to my parents' house so I can shower and wash clothes and bathe the children.

Update on the sickies...

So Ciara was fevered this morning when she woke up. I'm coughing and Kris went to work but came home by 10am. I took him to the doc to get antibiotics, and a bronchitis diagnosis BLAH but at least it's not the flu right? LOL! I can feel the burn in my chest but I'm refusing to be sick. If the burn is still there (or if I'm feeling worse) I will be calling my doc in the AM, HOPEFULLY he'll just call me in a prescription...but worse case scenario I have to go in. I can pick up Kristoffer's check on my way LOL!!

Shyann and Samuel are healthy Praise God and we are on the road to recovery...right?

Sick...

So everyone in my house has been sick. Kris was coughing and stuff enough that the doc gave him an inhaler, so when Shyann started the same cough I took her in and got her an inhaler. Samuel came down with a fever and stuff on Saturday and missed the last two days of school, he went back today, thank goodness, he was getting wild. That's a sure sign that he's feeling better ;) Today Ciara is starting to cough a lot and I feel miserable. Not really stay in bed sick but just icky, draggy, don't want to do a lot sick. Ya know? So it was wonderful when I got back from taking Samuel to school to find that Shyann had finished loading and started the dishwasher, she had changed over laundry and she was cleaning out the litter boxes!! Some days she is so helpful...others...not so much. What a blessing she is today!!

I have some other things I want to post today, I missed Sunday's posting from my devotions book and I'm going to try to get it up today!!

Okies...so random things about me...

1. I don't like other people's potato salad for the most part. ESPECIALLY if it's made with Miracle Whip...ewwwww...

2. The mere thought of gravy, pudding, anything with that consistency, makes me want to gag.

3. I keep my toenails extremely short. Kris makes fun of me because they are sooo short but my toes are really close together and they scratch each other easily.

4. I could easily survive on chips and salsa for life.

5. I bite my nails, even after having not bitten them for over a year because I had acrylics on.

6. I can't stand people who pretend they are "holier than thou" when I know that all are equal in the eyes of God.
